The Yemeni rebels announced their conditions for negotiations for the potential release of the Galaxy Leader, which also has two Bulgarians on board.
The Houthis are demanding that the United States and Israel halt the operation in Gaza.
In a post on the social network X, Yemeni Supreme Political Council member Mohammed Ali al-Houthi wrote:
"If America and Israel stop killing Palestinians in Gaza and bring water, medicine and food there, then they can talk about the Israeli ship."
Mohammed Ali al-Houthi adds that "what the Yemeni naval forces did is in line with the principle of reciprocity."
The company that owns the Galaxy Leader said it no longer has any connection with the ship.
